You would go to the curriculum web site for the State Department of Public Instruction .
5)  Q When is my child eligible to enter kindergarten?
A
According to North Carolina public school law, a child must be five on or before August 31 of the school year to be eligible to enroll in kindergarten.
6)  Q Do the Harnett County Schools have a pre-kindergarten program?
A
There is no pre-kindergarten program in our school system for 4 year olds unless they qualify for services in the preschool handicapped program.
7)  Q How do I register my child for kindergarten?
A
Each year, the schools announce the kindergarten registration for the coming school year. If this date, which is usually in early spring, has passed, then parents would need to enroll the child at the school. Parents must provide:
a. certified birth certificate
b. proof of address
c. social security number
d. shot records

9)  Q Will Harnett County Schools accept any eighth grade credits?
A
Pre-secondary courses are not accepted at the secondary level.
